Translations
Every word Live Stream shows goes through WordPress's own translations: the admin, the blocks, the player, the chat and the studio. Your visitors read them in your site's language, and plurals follow each language's own rules.
How it's translated
- The text domain is
easy-stream, for the PHP and for the scripts alike. - The scripts (the player, the studio and the admin) take their translations from WordPress as its own scripts do, as JSON files beside the plugin's
.mofile. - The plugin ships its template,
languages/easy-stream.pot, with every word in it.
Translating it yourself
Live Stream isn't on WordPress.org yet, so translate.wordpress.org doesn't carry its language packs. Translate it with a translation plugin, or with the POT file and your own tools:
- Make a
.pofile for your language fromlanguages/easy-stream.potand translate it. - Compile it to
easy-stream-<locale>.mo, such aseasy-stream-de_DE.mo. - Make the scripts' JSON files from the
.powithwp i18n make-json. - Put the
.moand the JSON files inwp-content/languages/plugins/.
Visitors see the site's language. In the admin, each user sees the language set in their profile.
